NEWS: What's happening in the world of Bling?

15/12/07 - Yes! Finally a sweet stack of 2008 frames are in the air on the way to Australia. We'll have 08 Izimu, Shova ST and the brand new Mbuzi frames available from early next week. For those of you who haven't seen the new gear you can now download the new catalogue www.morewoodbikes.com

7/9/07 - Righto, the new 08 frames are out for all the world to see! Check out:

We're putting together our first 2008 order together now so send us an email if you have any questions, are interested in a new frame, or just feel really lonely and want to have human contact.

26/08/07 - Hey all, rumours are starting to trickle out about the 2008 goodies! Expect to see some amazing looking frames, the graphics we've seen look incredible. And there may be a whole new frame in the line up too........the Mbuzi. The ultimate play bike, 6.2", air sprung, tough as shit. We'll keep you in the loop and there'll be pics soon!

21/7/07 - Sorry for the lack of updates, but there really hasn't been a lot going on. Kitoff is having far too much fun over in Canada and I've done next to no riding as the weather hasn't been good. (well that's my excuse anyway). We have received another shipment of 07 Morewoods and they're selling fast so if you want one give us a call and we'll sort you out a good deal.

13/5/07 - Kitoff is in Canada. I landed in Vancouver today and I haven't slept in a day and a half so feeling a little freaky. The city of Vancouver is lined by some seriously burly mountains on the North side all of which are totally packed with trails. We've accquired a mini van to shuttle with.......but it doesn't go into reverse! You can't ask for too much! We'll go get our first taste of Canadian trails tomorrow! Expect some pics soon.

11/5/07 - Good news! Kitoff has developed some serious computer hacking skills and has hooked in the Bling mainframe so expect some photos from Canada to be uploaded for your viewing pleasure really soon.

10/5/07 - We are officially the industry's laziest website managers.....sorry. But we have been busy. Drew's been busy making babies, and Kitoff is going to Canada in two days, Oli & Lee broke themselves, Blacky whipped it over the hip and Jay went back to Queensland with a black eye! But we've got more bikes coming in a few weeks, so if you want one of the new Shova ST frames get in quick!

12/11/06 - The arrival of 2007 stock has kept us busy over the last couple of weeks. We've officially got a Morewood/Manitou team up and running for the national series now folks so keep an eye out for Drew, myself, Oli Kristevic, Jason Blackmore and Jay Taylor out and about on Manitou equipped Izimu DH and Ndiza ST/HT frames at the races this year.

24/9/06 - Well NZ WAS rad. It sucks coming back to the real world! If you can take a weeks leave over summer, get yourself over to Rotorua and ride. It'll be light til 9 o'clock at night there and the trails are just simply ridiculous. Fly with Virgin too, unless you enjoy getting stung for hundreds of dollars in excess baggage! Now, we've just received all the info for 2007 Morewood - and it looks incredible. Patrick and the boys have been working like dogs to refine the range and make the fastest bikes even faster. 2007 sees Fox shocks across the whole range, including the exciting RP23 shock in the Shova ST and Ndiza ST. In addition, the Ndiza HT will continue to be available in limited quantities and it is an amazing machine for 07. The Izimu is an absolute treat - 8.2" travel and even lighter weight than last year, with a lower leverage ratio and longer stroke shock and a revised pivot location. Check out the products page for all the details. And stop by www.descent-world.co.uk too for their extensive coverage of Morewood at EuroBike.

11/8/06 - Of well it's been a long time since we've given you any news and we apologise. But we do have some exciting stuff to tell you! We do! Super fast Qld pinners Jason Blackmore and Jay Taylor are now on board Morewood and are all set to smash the field at the Queensland state champs in a couple of weeks. These two guys are some of the fastest out there. Drew has been clocking up some race time on the new Ndiza HT prototype frame and we can safely safe that it is sweet. The frame is completely revised and will be available in strictly limited quantities for the 06/07 season.

In other news, Bling Industries is off to NZ today so you won't hear anything from us for a little while. We are going to check out the World Champs in Rotorua and ride the ridiculously good trails they have there. We'll be taking our Shova STs and Cannonball will be joining us on his Ndiza ST. It will be rad. We'll put up some photos when we get back!

10/7/06 - Morewood at Stromlo. Well, we all learnt a lesson this weekend - if you drink forty million beers the night before race day, you probably won't race too well!!! Drew and Chris were both riding new Shova LT frames this weekend. Check out a review of the LT in the latest issue of MBUK.

The Revox is the most advanced rear shock available on the market today and comes fully equipped with a titanium spring!! These badboys retail for well over $1000 so snap up a bargain. Numbers are strictly limited to this shipment only so get in quick.

10/5/06 - Morewood at Lithgow. Yay we won! Well at least Drew did, taking out Masters 1 with a 3:24. Kitoff picked up 4th in Expert with a 3:19 and Mel was unable to race having eaten it hard during Saturday's practice. Hope your bum gets better soon Mel!

27/4/06 News just in - FOX is all go for 2007 and this will include options on FOX forks too - you could pick yourself up a very tidy deal indeed. New improved BLING STICKERS are on their way. Big old vinyl bumper stickers for your bike or car - proudly tell the world that you love pumping trannies too! Send us an email if you are keen. AND smile too, cos remember, we love you! In a friendly way.

13/4/06 Work has commenced on the new Morewood/Snowbi team kit - looks like we'll be sporting RED as our new team colour. At least it'll hide the blood........ The next big Morewood shipment is in production too - stacks more wood will be landing in just a few weeks including Shova STs and LTs, as well as Ndiza frames. In news for next year....there may be options to run the excellent Fox DHX5.0 and other Fox shocks on 2007 frames! Sick.

11/4/06 Go check out the review of the 2005 Ndiza ST on www.farkin.net - sounds to me like they liked it! You'd like one too!

10/4/06 Well after a few months of finding our feet we are up and rolling, a successful 2005 Nationals series behind us and we are moving on to bigger and bigger things. As you can see we've got a website running finally! Despite being totally computer illiterate we've got our arses into gear and have spent a few frustrating arvos learning about the world wide intranet technology thing! We'll continue to expand and work on the site all the time so keep on checking back. Eventually we'd like to see this site as a bit of a base for Morewood riders all around Australia to keep in touch with developments surrounding the brand. We'll also be running a Morewood riders gallery so send us your pics!!! We want to have every rider and their bike on display here. Occassionally we'll have ex-demo models for sale at some great prices too so make sure you check out the Ex-Demo and Specials page - you might pick up a bit of a bargain.

In other exciting news, it looks like Morewood Australia will establishing a race team next year along with clothing co-sponsor Snowbi!! Snowbi is an awesome indepent clothing label out of Sydney with a background in MX racing. They make some seriously stylish casual gear and we look forward to seeing the Morewood team rocking the Snowbi kit at races in the coming season. Go check it out at www.snowbi.com.
